Espacio Dios has really been making strides into everyone’s playlist after dropping his effort debut Percussive Planet. Being part of a new contingent of rising South African musicians that occupy the Alternative space. With deep-rooted affiliations to acts like Muzi and Una Rams, his sound easily tells on him. Espacio may have only dropped an EP last year that heavily dominated the internet, his musical influence bled onto Anatii’s Iyeza album, in the form of cadence, production, overall aesthetic and aura. With the Mafikeng native producer and singer being signed to Anatii’s YAL Entertainment imprint, the story writes itself.

Heavily influenced by melodies, seductive uptempo production and occasional chanting. His music gives off a spiritual mood with undertones of sadness, smeared with a touch of darkness. This is all evident in his latest single Seêmô – when translated to English reads as situation. Espacio mixes and matches cultures so much, that his whole vibe is a mosaic of culture. With a full on Spanish name, paired with a very African sound and a modern youth narrative.

Seêmô will make you feel like you’re experiencing a situational trance with the transitional single a welcomed breath of fresh air after what you could label as somewhat a sabbatical, although he did return last month to tell the visual story of Uri Fire. It has been a while since we got some new music from the crooner and producer.
