South African rapper Simphiwe Nyawose or better known as Robin Thirdfloor, has shown no intentions of easing his foot off the gas. Just a few weeks after dropping the lead single for his third solo project and fourth overall, he follows it up with a music video. Ayashisa Amateku has been an audience favourite ever since it came out and it was only fitting that he accompanies the song with some visuals.
Somdanger links up with Durban director and his most trusted collaborator when it comes to audiovisuals in Director Rey. The two have been working together since Robin’s debut project, so it only made sense to keep the nucleus of the winning formula very much intact.
The rapper opted to take things to his home town in Umlazi, for a street themed hangout music video calling out all the kids of Umlazi. Robin has always kept a close-knit relationship with Umlazi and is always solemnly representing where he is from, even though he has gone out and seen a good portion of the world. He has recently moved out of Umlazi but is far from losing touch with his home, with initiatives like the Umlazi Social Market that keep his energy everpresent.
Currently, he is working on putting together a national and European tour. Ayashisa Amateku isn’t the only song that will have its story told on camera, the rapper is also working on a few more videos for the project. For now, you can check out his latest music video below.
