Durban’s Velvet Boy isn’t taking his foot off the gas anytime soon, after dropping his three track body of work in December titled Ecdysis. He jumps starts his year with this moody single which tags Garde and June to add dynamism.
Snakes recently worked with Garde when they both appeared on Glitch by U.Beyond and Vogue which was also a summer release. Chris opts to have Garde on the hook. Throughout the single, they touch on topics of lust, getting high and how love is becoming overrated. Having to deal with and accept love, especially when relations turn out to become more than what they were initially intended to be.
The song opens up with the often nonchalant inquisitive flow from Chris and is quickly supported by Garde on the hook with June proving to be a standout feature on the song with his verse being hard to overlook. With the production being a mixture of R&B and Hip Hop, it proved to be the perfect canvas for the three acts.
